JEE Main 2021

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), popularly known as JEE Main, is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA to offer admission to BE/BTech, BPlan and BArch courses offered by NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) across the country. JEE Main is also the gateway for JEE Advanced. Only the top 2.5 lakh score holders in NTA JEE Mains 2021 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced for admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by IITs in India.

The counselling cum seat allotment for all the IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs will be organized and managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Last year, 107 institutes participated in JoSAA Counselling. This year the number of participating institutes will go up as engineering admission in UP will also be based on JEE scores following the cancellation of UPSEEE.

JEE Main 2021 Cutoff

The NTA will release JEE Main cutoff along with the result of 4th attempt exam. JEE Main cutoff are of two types, admission cutoff and qualifying cutoff for appearing in JEE Advanced. Admission cut off is released by JoSAA which constitutes of minimum and maximum ranks required for admission in participating institutes. The qualifying JEE Main cut off is the minimum score that JEE 2021 aspirants need to secure to be eligible for JEE Advanced. JEE Main 2021 cutoff for admission will be declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) after the completion of counselling and qualifying cutoff will be released by NTA along with JEE Main result 2021 for 4th attempt. Eligibility Particulars Details
Qualifying Exam Candidates should have passed class 12 or qualifying the exam in 2019 or 2020 or appearing in 2021. Requirement of 75 per cent marks in class 12 has been scrapped for JEE main aspirants.
